(Sharecast News) - Africa-focussed minerals exploration company IronRidge Resources announced the appointment of Mark Schild as its group financial controller on Friday.
The AIM-traded firm said Schild's appointment would bolster its existing management team, adding that it was in line with its strategy to perform all management and administrative services in-house.

"We are delighted to welcome Mark Schild to our management team here at IronRidge," said chief executive officer Vincent Mascolo.

"It is testament to the reputation of the company that we have been able to attract senior finance managers of his calibre."

IronRidge said Schild is a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years of experience at a senior finance level, primarily in financial institutions and technology businesses.

His previous responsibilities included the management of day-to-day financial operations, budgeting and forecasting, and financial and management reporting.

Schild has worked in Australia, the United Kingdom and South Africa, with "extensive experience" in listed companies.

"Mark brings with him a wealth of financial expertise essential in setting up and managing our finance processes and reporting across all our jurisdictions," said chief financial officer Amanda Harsas.

"He is a valuable addition to the team as we support our aggressive project pipeline and growth strategies."
