International Ferro Metals to ramp up output

Shares in International Ferro Metals (IFl) roared higher after the South African ferrochrome producer said it has installed its first furnace roof.It said the furnace is expected to ramp up to full production from mid-September as previously announced."The second furnace roof upgrade is progressing to plan with switch-in expected in early September and ramp-up to full production from mid-October," IFL said."In a further update to the 19 July IMS and production report, the first delivery of ore has been received at the IFL plant from the new mining operations at Sky Chrome."---RG
