Holiday Inn hotels owner InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) said it has appointed Tom Singer as chief financial officer, effective 26 September 2011. Singer takes over the role from Richard Solomons, who became the British hospitality firm's chief executive officer in July. The company has seen a major reshuffle in management since Solomons took reins of the hotel operator.Previously, Singer was the group finance director in IHG's global healthcare group BUPA, a position he held since 2008.Tom Singer said, "IHG has a strong stable of international brands. I am looking forward to getting started, supporting the group development plans around the world."Shares of the company were flat in late morning trade in London.AR
