(Sharecast News) - InnovaDerma has tapped non-executive director Kieran Callan to fill the role of chief executive officer as the beauty products developer's products begin to make their way on to the shelf at Tesco's.Since June, InnovaDerma had been on the lookout for a UK-based chief executive to manage the "strong growth" expected in 2019.Callan, who has more than three decades of experience in senior management roles, was previously chief executive at Joval Group, an international wine and food distribution business and was the founding director of National Australia Bank's private equity business.Haris Chaudhry, who will stay on as Innova's executive chairman, said, "Kieran's significant experience within the FMCG sector across multiple continents including his leadership roles with PZ Cussons and his decades of experience in retail, distribution, finance and management positions him as an ideal candidate for taking the business forward."Elsewhere, InnovaDerma revealed that it's premium haircare brand, Roots, is set to hit the shelves in 432 of Tesco's 3,000 stores in the UK in November."This is a testament to the strength and quality of this brand which was launched just one year ago and will now be available in Superdrug, Boots and Tesco, three of the UK's leading retail chains," Chaudhry added.As of 0840 BST, InnovaDerma shares had shot up 17.77% to 130.73p.
