Hurricane Energy's Aoka Mizu FPSO sets sail for North Sea

(Sharecast News) - UK based oil and gas company Hurricane Energy revealed that its Aoka Mizu floating production, storage and offloading vessel departed Dubai on Monday.The FPSO vessel, which will be used in Hurricane's early production system development of the Lancaster field, the UK's first fractured basement field in the west Shetland region, set sail for Rotterdam in order to complete a final scope of work before heading to the North Sea.The Aoka Mizu had been undergoing a programme of repair, upgrade and life extension works at the Drydocks World shipyard in Dubai.Hurricane's wholly-owned Lancaster asset is the group's most appraised asset, with five wells drilled to date. The AIM-listed firm was working towards the first phase of development at Lancaster, made up of a two well tie-back to the Aoka Mizu FPSO, expected to initially produce 17,000 barrels of oil per day.As of 0905 BST, Hurricane Energy shares had picked up 2.24% to 52.40p.
