HSBC Names John Li As Taiwan Chief Executive

HONG KONG (Dow Jones)--HSBC Holdings PLC (HBC) said Tuesday it has named John Li as chief executive of the lender's Taiwan operations. HSBC said in a statement Li is currently managing director and head of global banking and markets at HSBC Taiwan. The lender said Li's appointment is subject to regulatory approval from Taiwan, but didn't provide a time frame.
