There is to be a new senior independent director at property group Hammerson Group after John Clare announced his decision to retire from the board at the end of the year.Current board member Tony Watson, who has been on the board since February 2006, will succeed Clare as the senior independent director and chairman of the remuneration committee.Terry Duddy, chief executive officer of Home Retail Group, will be joining the Hammerson board as a non-executive director from 3 December.‘We are delighted to welcome Terry Duddy to the board.
