(Sharecast News) - Henry Boot confirmed on Friday that Edward Hutchinson would become chief executive officer on 13 July, while also appointing Warren Thompson as managing director of its Stonebridge Homes division.
The London-listed land, property development and homebuilding group said Hutchinson would succeed Tim Roberts, who will step down from the board when the appointment takes effect.
Hutchinson will continue to oversee Stonebridge Homes alongside his incoming group chief executive role until Thompson joins towards the end of 2026.
Thompson will move from Keepmoat Homes, where he is regional managing director for Yorkshire West, and will also join Henry Boot's executive and investment committees.
He has more than 30 years of housebuilding experience, including two decades in senior leadership positions at Miller Homes, Redrow Homes, Avant Homes and Harron Homes.
Jenny Purple, currently national disposals director at Henry Boot's strategic land business Hallam Land, will take on an elevated interim leadership role at Stonebridge Homes until Thompson arrives.
Roberts said Thompson had a strong record of delivering growth and operational performance across the UK housebuilding sector.
"Stonebridge Homes remains an important part of Henry Boot's future growth strategy, and I believe Warren's appointment will help us unlock the business's huge potential," he said.
Thompson said he was looking forward to helping Stonebridge build on its reputation for delivering high-quality homes and supporting the next stage of its development.
At 1258 BST, shares in Henry Boot were up 1.82% at 168p.
