(Sharecast News) - Drugmaker GSK reported two sets of encouraging cancer‑drug results on Monday, with fresh data for its experimental ovarian‑cancer therapy Mo‑Rez and new interim findings for Jemperli in rectal cancer, both due to be presented at the ESMO Congress.

In ovarian cancer, updated phase I results for Mo‑Rez showed durable and meaningful responses after more than 13 months of follow‑up, with the treatment delivering a 62% confirmed response rate at the selected phase III dose, as patients see a median 12.2‑month duration of response and 11.1‑month progression‑free survival.

GSK said safety remained broadly consistent with earlier readouts, with most serious side effects linked to blood‑related issues and only isolated cases of lung inflammation.

Separately, GSK said its phase II AZUR‑1 trial showed Jemperli achieved a 76% complete‑response rate in patients with MSI‑H/dMMR locally advanced rectal cancer, with many avoiding chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery. After more than two years of follow‑up, no recurrences have been reported among responders.

The FTSE 100-listed company said the findings support a potential organ‑preserving approach for eligible patients, with regulatory reviews already under way through Project Orbis.

As of 1130 GMT, GSK shares were up 0.98% at 1,912.50p.
