Globalworth Real Estate names CFO

Globalworth Real Estate, the recently listed AIM property investment company, announced the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).The company, which is focused on Eastern and Southern Europe, have selected Andreas Papadopoulos as the new CFO.Papadopoulos has worked for Ernst & Young, the professional services firm, from 1999 to 2012 in multiple countries such as Romania and Slovenia, as a partner responsible for audits. After his departure from Ernst and young Papadopoulos worked as CFO of a company within the Leptos Group, the Cyprus and Greece-focused land development group.The company's Chief Executive Officer, who is also the companies Chief Investment Officer Dimitris Raptis, acted as interim CFO before the appointment of Papadopoulos.The group, which became AIM listed on July 2013, acquired Bucharest one, a Landmark office development project, towards the end of last year.Dimitris Raptis, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of the said: "We are delighted that Andreas has agreed to join Globalworth. Andreas is not only a seasoned auditing and corporate finance professional, having spent most of his career with Ernst & Young, but also brings considerable experience both of the Romanian real estate market and of dealing with lenders".As of 10:00 the share price was unchanged at 5.37 euros.WS
