(Sharecast News) - E-sports provider Gfinity has inked a deal with EA Sports to host four events for the video game developer as part of its 2019 Global Series.The tournament, which consists of the FUT Champions Cup and three licensed qualifiers, will be held at Gfinity's Esports Arena in London, with each of the events forming a part players' journey to the 2019 FIFA eWorld Cup.EA's FUT Champions Cup features 64 of the world's best FIFA 19 players, narrowed down from 20m participants.Gfinity said the agreement extended its "strong relationship" in the competitive FIFA market, following its recent appointment as tournament operator for the inaugural ePremier League.Executive chairman Garry Cook, said: "With these four events, alongside the Gfinity Elite Series and the upcoming ePremier League, we continue to be at the forefront of FIFA competitive gaming tournaments.""We are now established as one of the world leaders in this sector."As of 0945 GMT, Gfinity shares had slipped 3.96% to 7.25p.
