(Sharecast News) - Galliford Try on Thursday said it had won a contract to build the first 725 homes at the £6bn Meridian Water development in London's Lea Valley.The first phase includes a "high proportion" of affordable homes as well as new public squares, shops and leisure facilities and will be located around the new Meridian Water train station, with the first of the new homes expected to be available in 2022, the company said.Galliford Try's shares were down 1.71% at 529.26p at 0829 BST.
