Building group Galliford Try has bagged two East London housing contracts worth 60m pounds with housing provider Peabody.Galliford Try will provide the £35.4m first phase of a four-phase development at Devon's Road in Bow, East London, which will initially build 259 mixed-tenure homes. The second scheme involves the £24.9m redevelopment of the former Plaistow Hospital in Newham to mark Peabody's 150th year which will include the construction of 168 mixed-tenure homes.Galliford Try Chief Executive Greg Fitzgerald said; "We look forward to working with Peabody to realise their vision for these two major schemes in East London."Shares in Galliford Try were up 0.56% at 1,072p at 09:06 on Friday.TB
