(Sharecast News) - UK construction group Galliford Try has won an £87m contract to expand its work at a build-to-rent development in London's Brent Cross.

The company announced on Tuesday that it has been appointed by property developer Related Argent and real estate investment firm Invesco Real Estate to deliver a further 286 apartments across three blocks.

That follows a contract earlier this year to build 249 new homes at the major residential development.

Galliford will also work on a new retail and amenity space, including a leisure suite with a swimming pool.

"We are delighted to be working once again with Related Argent on one of the most significant Build to Rent schemes in London," said Galliford's chief executive Bill Hocking.

"Our business has a strong track record in producing high-quality residential developments with the sector remaining a key focus for our Building business within our Sustainable Growth Strategy."
