Recruitment group Michael Page International fell sharply today after a mixed third quarter, as improved performances in the UK and US were counterbalanced by flat sales in Europe and declines in Asia Pacific. Gross profit increased by just 0.4 per cent year-on-year at constant currency.Chemring shares continued to extend Friday's heavy losses; the share price tumbled at the end of last week after the group issued a profit warning, saying that it was suffering as a result of the US crisis, as well as production troubles and unrest in the Middle East.
