Conference and exhibition organiser ITE Group was a strong riser after it said it expects to reveal stronger annual revenue after positive trading conditions in most of its overseas markets during the fourth quarter. Revenue for the full year is expected to be around £191m compared to £172m in 2012, in line with market expectations.Also on the up was engineering giant Kentz Corporation; the group has scored a contract to provide commissioning and start-up services to Bantrel Co. The company will support a major steam-assisted gravity drainage operation southeast of Fort McMurray, Canada, with electrical checkout including motors and electrical testing activities.Property investment and development business St. Modwen Properties rose after it said it had continued to perform strongly since the half year, buoyed by a strengthening housing market, and it remains confident of hitting full-year targets.Meanwhile, and as on the top-tier index, miners were taking a big hit, dented by events in the US and the news that China´s manufacturing sector purchasing managers´ index for September came in at 50.2, below the "preliminary" print of 51.2, which was also the consensus expectation.
