FTSE 250 movers: Hochschild falls on Peruvian concerns

Hochschild Mining's shares sank after Ollanta Humala won the preliminary results of presidential election in Peru. Humala has said that he will hike taxes in the mining sector, causing concern for Hochschild investors, as the company has a number of projects in the region.The high riser of the day is media buyer and market research group Aegis, which confirmed speculation that it is in talks with the research think tank Ipsos about a "potential transaction" of Aegis's market research business Synovate. Prime Markets recommends to 'buy' Aegis shares, as it believes the stock remains attractive at current levels with or without the Synovate sale going through. Engineering conglomerate Melrose is in the red after announcing that it is set to dispose of its precision die cast components division, Dynacast, to KDI Holdings for a consideration of $590m.Investors at Elementis have been underwhelmed by a UBS note, with shares trading lower. UBS has initiated coverage on the speciality chemicals supplier with a 'buy' and target price of 185p, and anticipates further upside in the future, noting that the stock trades at around a 20% discount its UK chemical peers, "which we believe is unreasonable."Flying slightly higher is budget airline easyJet after it saw a sharp rise in the number its passengers flew in May from the same period the previous year as travellers continued to splash out on cheap flights.
