FTSE 250 movers: C&W higher after Bermuda disposal

The pick of the bunch today is Cable & Wireless Communications, which has gained 7% after selling its operating business in Bermuda for $70m. The telecoms firm will buy back $100m worth of shares following the sale.Fund manager Gartmore is higher despite its assets under management at the end of 2010 being £17.2bn, down from $22.2bn the previous year. The group agreed to a takeover by rival Henderson Group in January. Henderson is also making gains.The worst performer on the FTSE 250 is software group Logica after full year revenues and profits came in flat.Builders' merchant and DIY shed group Wickes owner Travis Perkins was also lower after its chief executive expressed a cautionary outlook in the retail market, despite revenues for year being 8% higher.FTSE 250 - RisersCable & Wireless Communications (CWC) 49.58p +6.69%Gartmore Group Ltd.
