FTSE 250 movers: Bwin.party climbs on news of new JV

Bwin.party's wholly-owned digital payments arm, Kalixa, has formed a joint venture focused on Africa and Latin America with telecommunications and media firm Millicom. The group said the move was "a significant step in continuing to build externally generated business volume and revenue".Retail sales at online shopping group Ocado grew a click faster than analysts expected in the third quarter, with its contract with Morrisons also progressing well. The FTSE 250 company grew total sales, including its contract with Morrisons, by 22.5% to £231.9m in the 12 weeks to 10 August, with direct retail sales growth making up £218.5m, up 15.5% versus consensus forecasts of a 15% rise.Meanwhile, market volatility and the strength of sterling dragged annual profits for emerging markets asset manager Ashmore marginally below market expectations, pushing the stock into the bottom spot. Assets under management were down 3% year-on-year to $75bn at 30 June, as flagged, mostly from redemptions from its lower margin overlay/liquidity investment theme, while the other themes were solid.Argos and Homebase owner Home Retail reported a good first half but warned that annual results would depend on Christmas, prompting shares to drop.
