FTSE 250 movers: Aquarius down on Marikana deaths

Mining company Aquarius Platinum is leading the faller after five people died yesterday at its Marikana platinum mine when a shaft collapsed. A sixth person has been hospitalised as a result of the incident while a seventh sustained minor injuries.All those who died were employees of the mining contractor Murray and Roberts CementationPaper and plastic packaging firm DS Smith is higher after it revealed it would buy Otor, a corrugated packaging company based in France. The Otor Group has a complicated structure, consisting of Otor SA, which is listed on the NYSE Alternext Paris bourse, and Otor Finance, a holding company for the Carlyle Group which owns 94.75% of the issued share capital of Otor SA.
