(Sharecast News) - London's FTSE 100 was down 1% at 10,090.10 in afternoon trade on Tuesday.

Informa was the standout gainer on the index as it said strong trading through the fourth quarter, particularly in Live B2B Events, was expected to deliver full-year results in line with or ahead of market guidance.

It also announced a £200m share buyback and a major new B2B events partnership in Dubai.

Marks & Spencer gained amid a Sky News report that the retailer's chief technology officer is leaving less than a year after its operations were devastated by a cyber attack. According to Sky, Josie Smith is stepping down just 18 months after joining the company.

Sky said her departure was disclosed internally this week in a memo which said she had "decided to leave M&S".

Burberry was in the red a day ahead of a third-quarter trading update. The stock was also part of a broader selloff involving luxury stocks, amid concerns about the impact of tariffs.
