Computer games maker Frontier Developments has revealed the three authors that have written tie-in novels set in the science-fiction world of its Elite:Dangerous game. Book publisher Gollancz, which partnered with Frontier on its successful crowd-sourcing funding campaign on the Kickstarter website, has provided new works from authors Simon Spurrier, who has worked on X-Men for Marvel Comics; Gideon Defoe, known for his The Pirates! book series; and fantasy and sci-fi pair Stephen Deas and Gavin Smith. The books will be released for sale as eBooks in major digital stores on May 15th 2014, with collectors' hardbacks to be published for sale alongside the retail release of the game later that year.Frontier Cheif Executive David Braben said: "I am a huge science fiction fan, avidly reading sci-fi novels since I was small. I've always enjoyed rich, consistent worlds, so the ability to work closely with a number of authors as we create our own galaxy-wide fiction has been amazing."Frontier shares were unmoved at 306.5p on Tuesday.OH
