Property developer Quintain Estates' most recent trading update, for the half year to 30 September, indicated strong progress in the last six months towards its key milestones for the financial year.At the same time, Quintain unveiled plans for the London Designer Outlet at Wembley City. The 350,000 sq ft centre will be the only one of its kind within the M25 as well as the closest designer outlet for six million people in the south east, the firm said.Aim-listed Chinese plantations owner Asian Citrus recently pushed through price rises of about 9% in its annual winter crop negotiations. The group will supply a total of 140,280 tonnes of winter oranges in the second half of 2010, an increase of around 22% in comparison to the actual production output of 114,530 tonnes in the same period last year. Half-year profits rose by nearly one-third to RMB 83.7m in the six months to December 2009. The improvement in sterling terms was from £6.4m to £7.6m.
