First COO of Burberry takes up the reigns

The former Chief Executive of BBC Worldwide John Smith on Monday took up his new role as Chief Operating Officer of fashion giant Burberry. The group had previously said the new position "reflects the evolution of the executive team to support the next phase of growth, underpinned by Burberry's proven strategies". The share price fell 1.06% to 1,396p in morning trade. NR
