Ferrexpo sees production ease in 2012

Iron ore miner Ferrexpo has reported a fall in total pellet production in the first three months of 2012 but saw the production of higher grade ore increase slightly.Total pellet production declined by 3.3% in the first quarter to 2.26m, down from 2.34m in the fourth quarter. Production of 62% Fe fell by 7.4% quarter-on-quarter but 65% Fe output rose by 1.7%.When compared year-on-year though, total production increased by 6.3%.BC
