(Sharecast News) - Eurozone business activity in July grew slightly faster month on month, although slowing demand weighed on sentiment, a survey showed on Tuesday.

The HCOB composite purchasing managers index rose to 50.9 in July from 50.6 in the previous month. A reading above 50.0 indicates growth.

In a separate announcement, producer prices in the single-currency bloc rose 0.8% in June compared to May, the European Union's stats agency Eurostat said.

Across the broader EU producer prices increased by 0.7%. The PPI grew by 0.6% in both the eurozone and the EU year on year.
