Empiric Student Property buys Portsmouth property

(ShareCast News) - Empire Student Property has signed a £4.45m deal to buy student accommodation near Portsmouth University.The yet to be completed property is being built by REL Portsmouth and will comprise 41 self-contained units.Empire said the property would be ready to be completed in September 2015 in time for the 2015/6 academic year.REL Portsmouth has guaranteed it would be 100% let in the first academic year, and building is already 85% pre-let.Shares in Empire were up by 0.65% to 109.21p at 1336 BST.
