Elegant Hotels appoints Jeffrey Singleton interim CFO

(ShareCast News) - AIM-listed Elegant Hotels Group has appointed industry veteran Jeffrey Singleton as interim chief financial officer with immediate effect.The hotel operator, which owns six hotels in Barbados, appointed Singleton to replace Richard Jones.Singleton was recently financial controller and corporate finance director of Rocco Forte Hotels, and was previously finance director of De Vere Hotel Group, head of external reporting at Cable & Wireless, and a project manager for the International Accounting Standards Board.A chartered accountant, Singleton started his career at KPMG in Australia before moving to Deloitte, working in both Melbourne and London.Chairman Simon Sherwood thanked Jones for his contribution to Elegant Hotels and said the company looks forward to benefiting both from Singleton's knowledge of the luxury hotel sector, as well as from his technical expertise in corporate finance, accounting and external reporting.The company also said that its results for the 2016 financial year are in line with market expectations.Shares in Elegant Hotels Group were down 0.95% to 78.25p at 0809 GMT.
