(ShareCast News) - Shares soared in EG Solutions after the back office technology company said it had won a £692,000 contract to implement its operational intelligence software within the public sector.The contract was won in partnership with the provider of the EG's managed cloud service platform, GCI, which the company has worked with since 2012, and is the first where EG and GCI will work together to market the software to public sector organisations and GCI's clients.Revenue of about £500,000 from the contract will be recognised in the current financial year.GCI chief executive Adrian Thirkill said: "This new and exciting partnership between EG and GCI underpins the joint width and depth of our combined UKGOV accreditations, enabling end to end deployment of 'Digital Transformation' from two exciting, fast-growing UK companies."The new contract demonstrates the ability for UK owned technology businesses to deliver results to UKGOV organisations, and a clear departure from the giant corporation contracts of yesterday."Shares in EG Solutions were up 23.36% to 66p at 0857 GMT.
