Budget airline easyJet said it carried 5.02m passengers in July, up 7.7 percentage points from 4.66m passengers a year earlier. The July load factor rose to 90.9% from 90.3% in the same month a year earlier, making 86.8% for the rolling 12 months.The group carried 47.99m passengers in the 12 months, an increase of 7.3% compared with 44.73m a year earlier. In last week's quarterly trading update, the group said it remained on track to meet full year pre-tax profit forecasts. "Forward bookings are in line with the prior year and with 64% of the fourth quarter seats now sold the company continues to expect to make a pre-tax profit for the year of between £100m and £150m at current exchange rates and fuel prices," the airline said.
