(Sharecast News) - Delivery solutions provider DX Group has opened its third new depot in 2022 with a new site in Dartford, Kent.

DX Group said on Monday that it had continued its network expansion, signing a long-term lease over a roughly 28,000 square foot depot located on a 1.2-acre site in Edisons Park, Dartford in order to facilitate the expansion of both its DX Express division and its freight operations.

The AIM-listed firm stated DX Express's existing team at Swanley in Kent will relocate to the new site, while DX Freight will expand its operations at Swanley into the space vacated by DX Express.

DX added that the opening of the Dartford site was part of its ongoing investment in its delivery network, with over 12 additional depots planned to be added to the network over the next two years and between £20.0m and £25.0m already being earmarked for a major investment programme that will also drive improvements in parcel-handling equipment and IT infrastructure.

Chief executive Lloyd Dunn said: "We are pleased to open this new DX Express depot in Dartford, our third of the year so far. We are committed to driving improvements across both of the group's divisions, and this new site will enable us to increase the capacity and service levels of both Express and Freight in the South East of England. Our investment in the business continues, with more than 12 further sites planned to be added to our network over the next two years."

As of 1340 GMT, DX Group shares were untraded at 30.0p.
