DS Smith sale of Spicers moves to next stage

DS Smith, the packaging company, has entered into a binding agreement to sell its wholesale office supplies business Spicers.The original £200m deal was announced in July but now DS Smith and the Spanish buyer, Unipapel have moved the transaction on to a legal footing with completion expected in December.DS Smith says the sale will allow it to focus on its core recycled packaging business.BS
