DS Smith completes Iberian purchase

(ShareCast News) - Packaging producer DS Smith said it completed the €190m purchase of Iberian corrugated producer Grupo Lantero. Shares in the FTSE 250 stock were up 0.2% to 400.6p at 0801 BST.DS Smith, which operates across 34 countries, said the purchase takes its market share in corrugated packaging in Spain to 10%.The company said in a statement the acquisition was an important step in its strategy to leverage scale and strengthen geographic footprint.
