Drax appoints Will Gardiner as finance director

(ShareCast News) - Power generation company Drax has appointed Will Gardiner as finance director with effect from 16 November.Gardiner succeeds Tony Quinlan, who resigned as a director at the end of May. Michael Scott, who has been interim finance director since Quinlan's resignation, will continue in that role until Gardiner takes up his appointment.Gardiner has been chief financial officer of CSR, a global semiconductor business, since 2008. Before that, he was a divisional finance director of BSkyB and chief financial officer of Easynet Group.Chairman Phil Cox said: "He brings a wealth of experience and skills, and will be a strong addition to the Drax team."At 0938 BST, Drax shares were up 3.1% at 251.60p.
