AIM-listed television animation producer DQ Entertainment excited investors with news of unexpected volume of new deals signed at the recent MIPCOM industry conference. The India-based group said it expected revenues of $12m in the next financial year from new TV co-production and licensing deals signed during its second quarter to September 30th 2013 and at MIPCOM, when it had only anticipated $6m. As well as 15 new licensing deals of its existing productions to TV companies around the globe, four new production contracts included a project with SeaWorld theme parks to develop a children's comedy series, and three deals with Method Animation of France: "7 Dwarfs and Me", "The New Adventures of Peter Pan 2" and "5 Children and It".Shares in DQE were up 7% to 21.13p at 09:45 on Wednesday.
