Director dealings: Sinclair Pharma veteran joins buying splurge

(ShareCast News) - Sinclair Pharma director Jeff Thompson bought his first shares in the company after they failed to perk up in response to the aesthetic dermatology specialist's staff restructuring last month.The US dermatology industry veteran and partner of Florida-based healthcare private equity firm HealthEdge, who has been a non-executive on the Sinclair board for two years, picked up 150,000 shares in the company at a price of 29.125p.This follows purchases by chief executive Chris Spooner and finance director Alan Olby in recent weeks. Interim results last month from Sinclair, whose shares sit more than a third lower than last year's seven-year high from last year, were in line with expectations, with revenue of £17.3m and the potentially transformational US launch of Silhouette Instalift has been ongoing since August, backed by ThermiGen's 65-strong sales force. Cash and cash equivalents at period end was £24.4m.at the start of September announced a restructing that saw the departure of more than 50 staff and long-time chief operating officer Christophe Foucher.Sinclair said it expected to incur a one-off restructuring charge of £2.8m in this year's results but expects to benefit from annual cost savings of at least £2m.
