(Sharecast News) - Dechra Pharmaceuticals on Wednesday appointed Paul Sandland as an executive director and permanent chief financial officer with immediate effect.
Sandland, who joined Dechra in 2010 as group financial controller, has been acting CFO since April, when Richard Cotton left the company for personal reasons.
He had also served as acting CFO between 2012 and 2013, before becoming the EU finance director for the FTSE 250 company's veterinary products segment.
Chairman Tony Rice said: "Paul has proven to be an excellent acting CFO and, over a much longer period, has clearly demonstrated a strong practical understanding of all parts of the group and its needs, as well as an independence of mind and strong technical, strategic and commercial skills.
"The company followed a rigorous process before appointing Paul. He has been a core part of the Dechra leadership team over the last ten years."
Dechra Pharmaceuticals shares were up by 0.10% at 2,594.56p at 0954 GMT.
