De Beers, Botswana govt agree 10 year sales deal extension

(Sharecast News) - Anglo American said its De Beers unit and the Botswana government had reached agreement in principle on a new 10-year sales agreement for their Debswana rough diamond joint venture.

The deal also includes a 25-year extension of mining licences. Debswana operates four diamond mines in Botswana and is a 50:50 venture between the two.
