Sir David Naish, a former President of the National Farmers Union (NFU), is the new chairman at meatpacker Hilton Food following the death last week of Gordon Summerfield.A non-executive director at Hilton since 2007, Naish led the NFU between 1991 and 1998 and became chairman at Express Dairies in 2002, overseeing its merger with Arla Foods in 2003.Earlier this year, the firm said turnover rose in the 53 weeks to January 3 as volumes increased and it benefited from the weak pound against overseas currencies.
