(ShareCast News) - Coms PLC's shares surged on Tuesday morning, as it appointed a new chief executive and chief financial officer.Mark Braund will adopt the role of chief executive of the communications services provider, moving from the same position at recruitment firm InterQuest. Braund has served as a non-executive director with Coms since March."Since the departure of the previous CEO in March our priority has been to appoint an experienced senior executive management team," said chairman Frank Beechinor."I am certain that Coms and its shareholders will greatly benefit from Mark's experience in his new full time executive role," he added.Elsewhere, Spencer Dredge's interim role as chief financial officer will be made permanent.As of 0900 BST, Coms was trading 9.5% higher at 0.6p.
