(Sharecast News) - Coca-Cola HBC said on Monday that chief financial officer Ben Almanzar plans to leave the company to take up a new opportunity in North America.

Almanzar will remain in the role until the end of May to ensure an effective transition of his responsibilities.

The bottling company is conducting a search for its next CFO considering internal and external candidates, and an announcement will be made when appropriate, it said.

Chief executive Zoran Bogdanovic said: "On behalf of everyone at Coca-Cola HBC, I would like to thank Ben for his commitment and valuable contributions to the company over the past three years.

"During his tenure, he played a key part in implementing our strategic initiatives, navigating a challenging external environment, developing his team and delivering strong results. I wish Ben all the best in the next chapter of his career."
