Hugh Scott-Barrett, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of specialist property company Capital & Regional, added 75,000 shares to his stake in the group on Friday.Scott-Barrett, who has been in the role of CEO since April 2008, bought the shares for 28.97p each, and increased his stake in the company to 1.277m shares. The group recently announced that it had sold its 50% stake in Xscape Braehead, Glasgow, to it's joint venture partner Capital Shopping Centres. It sold the property for £4.0m cash, net of its share of related property debt. Speaking at the end of December when the sale was announced, Scott-Barrett said: "Following the sale of our holding in the Junction Fund and with the proposed disposal of our X-Leisure interests, this successful sale to our joint venture partner continues the execution of our strategy of selling non-core assets to concentrate on our core UK shopping centre activities."
