The picking over of the bones of collapsed Connaught Group continues with British Gas owner Centrica acquiring the assets of Connaught Compliance, Connaught's gas and electricity services business.Centrica is paying £11.2m for the business which will add around 400 service engineers and more than 20,000 commercial customers to British Gas's operations.The assets being purchased include Connaught's training academy in South Wales. "This acquisition gives us the platform that is needed to develop and rapidly build a complete energy solutions business and accelerates our growth strategy in the business energy services market, which is expected to be worth £2bn by 2015," said Kanat Emiroglu, managing director of British Gas Business.
