Capita names as preferred bidder for contract with RWE npower

Support services provider Capita has been been selected as the preferred bidder to provide both front and back office services to RWE npower, a UK-based electricity and gas supply generation company. The final negotiations for the contract are currently being finalised, although it is expected to be worth around £120m over a seven-year period, beginning at the start of February 2014. FTSE 100-listed Capita will take responsibility for part of npower's customer service operation and deliver a business transformation programme that will enhance customer service for npower's domestic business, it said.
