CAP-XX soars as supercapacitor is launched

The Japanese firm Murata has launched its supercapacitor product manufactured under a licence agreement with CAP-XXthe electrical component company.Among other uses the supercapacitor will be used to provide power for LED flashes in mobile phones, digital cameras and camcorders.Anthony Kongats, CEO of CAP-XX said:"We are delighted that Murata announced mass production of supercapacitors under our manufacturing agreement. This is an important milestone for both CAP-XX and Murata, as this revolutionary power management device is now available in volume from a respected major supplier, capable of supporting demand from widespread adoption by the mobile technology industry".Shares in Cap-XX rocketed 68% on the news.
