More first class and business travel drove an 8.4 per cent increase in traffic last month at the owner of British Airways and Spanish flag carrier Iberia.Premium traffic in November rose by 6.3%, underpinning the overall rise in traffic for the month, International Consolidated Airlines Group said. The group's available capacity rose 9.5%.Last month, IAG said its third quarter operating profit had more than doubled to €690m following a recovery at Iberia, strong London and transatlantic traffic at British Airways.It also said then that its Spanish budget arm Vueling, which is launching 24 new routes from Rome next summer and seven services from a new base in Brussels, had benefited from more tourism in Barcelona to turn in a €139m operating profit.PW
