Bus company Rotala, which runs buses in north-west England and the Midlands, has cashed in falling oil prices and the strong pound to limit its fuel costs.Rotala has fixed the price of fuel on about 95% of its expected fuel needs in 2014 and 30 per cent in 2015.It has achieved a price a little below that used for current budgets and forecasts, which it said would give management certainty over a major cost for the foreseeable future. Rotala, which runs services in Preston, around Birmingham and elsewhere, uses 10m litres of fuel a year.PW
