Interior furnishing group Walker Greenbank announced the appointment of Mike Gant, Britvic's head of finance, as its new Chief Financial Officer. Gant, who will assume his new post on March 3rd, joins Walker Greenbank from the soft drinks firm where he acted as finance director of its International business units from 2009.He is a chartered accountant and has held many financial roles at brands-based companies in the food and drinks industry. They include a number of financial and commercial positions at drinks group Constellation Brands which he joined in 2004. Prior to Constellation Gant was posted at food manufacturer Geest. He joined Geest in 2000 as divisional finance director before becoming group financial controller.Walker Greenbank's outgoing financial director Alan Dix held the post for nine years. He will leave the company towards the end of April after completing a handover period.Walker Greenbank's Chairman, Terry Stannard, said: "I am delighted to welcome Mike Gant to the role of Chief Financial Officer, his breadth of international and brand experience will be of great value during the next stages of Walker Greenbank's development."
