BP Washington State Plant Ops Not Impacted By Compressor Upset Thu-Source

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Operations at BP PLC's (BP, BP.LN) Cherry Point refinery in Blaine, Wash., weren't affected by a compressor upset Wednesday, a person familiar with the operations said Thursday. A compressor associated with the reformer, a unit that increases octane in gasoline, went offline but didn't cause disruptions at associated units, the person said. Cherry Point has the capacity to process 225,000 barrels of crude oil a day. -By Naureen S.
