BP: Still Working To Place Cap Over Leaking Well

By Cassandra Sweet Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES SAN FRANCISCO (Dow Jones)--BP PLC (BP, BP.LN) said late Monday that it was still working to place a new cap over a leaking oil well in the Gulf of Mexico, with hopes that it would complete the task by the end of the day. Agence France-Presse reported that BP had placed the cap over the broken Macondo oil well. BP spokesman Max McGahan said the cap "will hopefully be in place today," but said the cap wasn't fully installed.
